Where to Preorder GTA 6 (and Where It's Actually Worth It)
GTA 6 preorders are open now at the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and major retailers, at $79.99 (Standard) and $99.99 (Ultimate) everywhere. Every preorder placed before November 20, 2026 gets the same Vintage Vice City Pack, and digital preorders add one free month of GTA+ on top. The price is identical in every store, so the real choice is digital vs boxed, not where to shop.

Two facts jump out of that table. The Ultimate Edition is digital-only: no store sells an Ultimate box. And the free GTA+ month is a digital-only perk: boxed preorders don’t qualify.
The preorder bonus explained
The Vintage Vice City Pack is the universal preorder bonus, identical in every store and for both editions. It includes the ’55 Vapid Stanier with its own garage, vintage outfits for Jason and Lucia, and a weapon skin: retro Vice City cosmetics, not a gameplay advantage. The deadline is the only thing to watch: preorder any time before November 20, 2026 and it’s attached to your purchase (boxed copies include it while retailer stocks last).
Digital preorders also come with one free month of GTA+, Rockstar’s subscription for the current GTA Online. One honest warning: it auto-renews at full price once the free month ends, and it must be redeemed before its expiry date. If you only want the freebie, set a reminder to cancel.
Digital vs boxed preorder
The boxed version ships with a download code, not a disc: you download the full game either way. Boxes ship from November 12, the same day digital preload opens, so a digital preorder preloads a few days earlier in practice (no waiting on delivery). Should you preorder at all?
Honestly: there’s no scarcity reason to. GTA 6 is digital-first: nobody will “run out” of copies. The real arguments for preordering are the Vintage Vice City Pack, the GTA+ month (digital), and preloading on November 12 so you play at the minute of launch. And the risk is near zero: both console stores allow cancellation and refund before release, and retailers don’t charge boxed preorders until shipping. If you know you’re playing at launch, preordering costs nothing and adds the bonuses; if you’re unsure, waiting loses you only the cosmetic pack.
